Who we work for

Homeowners, architects, businesses

Private clients

House or flat. We come and measure, you receive a fixed price, and nothing starts without your written approval.

Architects and interior designers

We work from your drawings and flag anything that will not work in production before we start. One point of contact, from survey to installation.

Professionals and businesses

Offices, shops, restaurants, or carpentry packages on coordinated sites. Professional liability, SUVA, and dates written into the quote.

Since 1967, we keep our word. Simple as that.

Our guarantees

3D plans for larger projects

Complete kitchen, fit-out, staircase: the project is drawn in 3D and priced before we start. For a small piece, a sketch and a price are enough.

Fixed quote, everything in writing

Net prices and clear timescales, under the Swiss SIA 118 standards. No hidden extras, nothing added halfway through the job.

Plenty of high-end work

Rare timbers, veneers, traditional joints. A large share of our work is for villas and architect-led projects on La Côte and in Geneva.

Insurance & site safety

Professional liability insurance and SUVA: a clean, insured and safe site, in your home or on a construction site.

Never subcontracted

Workshop in Grens, fitted by our own team. The same hands from the first measurement to the last screw.

Certified, durable materials

FSC/PEFC timbers, clean and traceable finishes. We tell you where the wood comes from.

About

One family. One workshop. One craft.

In 1967, Nardo Hernandez opened his carpentry workshop in Grens, just outside Nyon. His son Manuel works there today, in the same building, with the same skills passed down from one generation to the next. A family workshop where wood has been worked with care and patience for more than sixty years. That craftsmanship is why a large share of our work today is high-end: villas, fine cabinetmaking and rare timbers, for private clients and architects across La Côte and Geneva.

Our method

How it works

Step 1

We come and measure

A free appointment at your home. We take real measurements, listen to what you have in mind, and spot the constraints nobody sees on a plan.

Step 2

Itemised quote, with a 3D plan when the project calls for it

You receive an itemised quote. For larger projects (kitchen, complete fit-out, staircase), we include a 3D plan so you can see the result before deciding. Nothing starts without your written approval.

Step 3

Built in Grens

Everything is made in our workshop, five minutes from Nyon. FSC/PEFC certified timbers, finishes checked piece by piece before anything leaves.

Step 4

Installation & follow-up

Our team installs everything cleanly in your home. We check that it is perfect, make any final adjustments, and stay available for follow-up.

FAQ

Your questions answered

Do you only work for private clients?

No. We work for private clients (houses, flats) as well as professionals: offices, restaurants, shops and architects.

Which areas do you cover?

We are based in Grens (near Nyon) and work throughout French-speaking Switzerland: the canton of Vaud, Geneva, La Côte and the surrounding area.

Which types of wood do you offer?

We have access to an almost unlimited choice: oak, ash, walnut, maple, beech, larch, fir… as well as rare tropical hardwoods on request. All our materials are FSC/PEFC certified and chosen for durability.

Do you offer free quotes?

Yes. Every first contact leads to a clear, free, no-obligation quote. 📞 Call us on 079 474 96 47 to request one.

How long does a bespoke carpentry project take?

Usually between 2 and 8 weeks depending on complexity: a small built-in bookcase is quicker than a complete kitchen.
